As the pioneer of discount warehouse retailing, Comet sold consumer electronics and white goods along with related products and services, and pioneered the concept of the out-of-town discount warehouse in the UK. Comet became the second largest electrical retailer in the UK through the 1990’s, with turnover exceeding £1bn at its peak, operating through some 370 stores.
