It has over 700 stores, mostly in the UK and Ireland, with 200 in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. It is the largest clothing retailer by sales in the UK. It was founded by Joseph Hepworth in Leeds in 1864 as a tailor under the name of Joseph Hepworth & Son.
